Seaqual Initiative

At Ecosource, we are proud to support the SEAQUAL Initiative, a global movement dedicated to combating plastic pollution and fostering a circular economy. SEAQUAL Initiative brings together individuals, organizations, and companies to create a cleaner ocean by transforming marine litter into high-quality, sustainable materials.

Worldwide, there are numerous ocean clean-ups working tirelessly to retrieve marine litter from our oceans, beaches, rivers, and estuaries. These clean-ups range from small groups of local volunteers to large international programs, collecting all types of waste, including plastics, metals, glass, rubber, and mixed material items.

The SEAQUAL Initiative is committed to giving a second life to the mixed waste collected by these clean-ups. Instead of sending materials to landfills or incineration, SEAQUAL sorts the waste into different types, with metals and glass recycled through traditional routes, while organic materials and other non-plastics are recycled or disposed of responsibly. Marine plastics, which can degrade quickly due to UV rays, salt water, and friction, are given a new life through innovative recycling processes.

By choosing products made from these materials, you are directly supporting efforts to clean our oceans and promote a sustainable future.
